Kinderpedia and FAPOESTEJO Join Hands to Bring Literacy and Digital Inclusion to 130,000 students in the West, Lezíria Tejo, and Médio Tejo

Kinderpedia – the complete communication and management solution for education – and FAPOESTEJO – the largest federation of parent associations in Portugal, representing the families of 130,000 students in the West, Lezíria Tejo, and Médio Tejo – signed a partnership with special conditions for Portuguese schools in FAPOESTEJO region, to access Kinderpedia.
The agreement promotes the increase of digital literacy and digital inclusion in education through the use of Kinderpedia, by simplifying management processes in day care centres, kindergartens and schools and placing the teacher-student-parent partnership in the centre of the educational act. Thus, Kinderpedia becomes the unique operation system of selected schools in the regions, bringing an innovative digital tool that supports both the face-to-face and online learning process and accelerates the digital transformation of education. In addition, the schools gain access to certified training in different topics within Active Learning, provided by the Portuguese HighScope Association, another Kinderpedia partnership in Portugal.

The collaboration between Kinderpedia and FAPOESTEJO will start with a network of pilot schools where the benefits of implementing Kinderpedia in that school community will be tracked and reported.

FAPOESTEJO is the newest and largest Federation of Parent Associations in our country, where it is responsible for representing three regions, the West, Lezíria Tejo, and Médio Tejo, with a total area of 9044 km², with approximately 128,500 Students, with 65 Groupings, with 876 Schools, from 36 Municipalities. This project comes from a group of Parent Associations that together carry out joint actions since 2016, the group has grown consistently, with the holding of Regional Meetings for Parent Associations and Guardians, always focused on defending the best interest of our Children and Youth. It is with this union, of sharing ideas and diverse opinions, that we will help the Parental Associative Movement (MAP) to grow, where, together with Schools, Parent Associations, and Guardians, they will present joint solutions, and develop projects for the development of parental training, focusing on the objective of continuous improvement in education.
